
CLIMBING
CLIMBING AND ABSEILING.
Introduction to rock climbing and abseiling. This is an ideal way of getting into climbing. We will tailor the course to suit your experience and needs. The aim is to give you the knowledge to keep yourself safe on the rock and the skills needed to take yourself. This is ideal for people who are looking to get into rock climbing and for people who want to move on from the indoor climbing wall to the outside. All aspects of rock climbing will be covered at the single pitch level: route selection, rope work, belays and belaying, crag awareness. Alternatively if you just want a fun day out climbing we can take you to the appropriate locationto take yourself climbing.
PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES.
We can provide this activity to those from 8 to 80. The activity will be delivered at an age appropriate level that will also include your level of fitness. . For this activity you will need to be reasonably fit.
WEATHER.
This activity is weather dependant, in the case of adverse weather conditions an alternative will be offered, or were appropriate an alternative date.
DURATION.
Full or half day sessions are available. Sessions run 9:00 – 1:00 2:00 – 5:00 other timings available on request.
NUMBERS ON THE DAY.
There is no minimum number required to run this session.
There is a maximum of 8 per instructor. However we are able to run groups of up to 40.
SPECTATORS.
Spectators are able to join us for this activity but must wear safety helmets.
DRESS CODE.
All specialist equipment is provided. You will need to bring: old trainers and robust outdoor clothing. Also bring waterproofs and a warm hat and gloves in adverse weather conditions.
