One of the locations that Outdoor Adventures operate is Brecon Beacons which is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, situated just below the famous Pen Y Fan. This is an ideal location for your Residential School Trip To Wales!

Outdoor activities here are largely mountain, lake and river based however we can offer our full range of activities from here, please see the activities tab on the web site for your options. We offer 2 – 5 day school activity programmes that are designed individually to meet the needs of your school. We work closely with the YHA throughout Wales to provide an extremely professional outdoor adventure experience. With their expertise in accommodation and catering, and ours in outdoor adventures you can be sure of the most professional school activity residential to Wales.

Brecon Beacons outdoor education centre is set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons this is the ideal location for your mountain adventure based visit. However a full range of activities is available at this location, please see our list below. The building is an old farm house converted into dormitories. The main building of 36 beds (including 1 double), and the annex of 8 beds (including 2 doubles) a total of 44 places.

The accommodation is a cosy 19th Century farmhouse, with access to some of the best walking routes in Wales. Step out through the front door and be greeted by breath taking views towards Pen y Fan, the highest mountain peak in South Wales, ideal for school activity trips in Wales.

Then if the weather isn’t favourable, console yourself with the hostel’s roaring fire in the evening, after a great day of outdoor activities. The welcoming lounge has comfy arm chairs and tasty home-cooked meals being prepared in the kitchen next door. An ideal location for your activity school trip to Wales!

All activities are led by National Governing Body qualified instructors. Off-site activities include: Gorge walking, Sit on kayaking, Climbing and abseiling, Gorge Walking Forest treks, Orienteering and Raft building. On site there is: Bush Craft, Archery, and orienteering. Not far from the centre is a pleasant mountain stream, ideal for self-led activities. All activities are the same cost so are interchangeable with other activities from our list. There are also numerous historical and places of interest close by for teachers to run self-led activities in the evenings.
