Outdoor Adventures: Llanberis

Of all the Outdoor Adventure locations Llanberis is ideal for mountain adventures and exploring the Snowdonia National Park and all of it’s adventures. This making it ideal for your School Activity Residential In Wales. We work closely with the YHA throughout Wales to provide the perfect outdoor adventure experience. Outdoor activities at Llanberis are largely mountain, lake and river based however we can offer our full range of activities from here, please look under the “Activities” tab on this web site for your options. We offer 2 – 5 day activity programmes that are designed individually to meet your pupils needs. Simply contact us to arrange your perfect activity programme for your school trip to Wales.

Llanberis is situated deep in the beautiful mountain scenery of North Wales, and is at the centre of the Snowdonia National Park, and just a ten minute walk from Llanberis High Street. From this hostel we can guide up Snowdon, along one of the best mountain paths up Snowdon. It is also a great location for self-lead activities in the evening such as exploring the history of the region at the Slate Museum, or visit Electric Mountain.

The YHA have recently given a fabulous makeover to many areas of the hostel, so we’re now it’s more inviting and comfortable than ever. The centre has a lounge, common room, dining room and self-catering kitchen. The centre has really been spruced up recently and renovated communal areas have never looked better, refurbished reception, dining and lounge areas and added new furniture and flooring. Guests can now connect to the Wi-Fi in communal areas too.

There are 50 beds in both private and dorm rooms which are arranged as follows:1 x 3 bedded en-suite room (double bed and single bunk), 3 x 2 bedded room, 3 x 4 bedded room, 1 x 5 bedded en-suite room (double bed and three single bunks), 1 x 5 bedded room, 1 x 6 bedded en-suite room, 1 x 6 bedded room, 1 x 8 bedded room

Camping Pods

Llanberis is now home to two large camping pods. If you like camping but you could do without the sun, wind or rain then this is the holiday for you! These camping pods make for a great family break and they have space for up to four people to sleep in, including one double futon and twin single beds. Mattresses, futons and all bedding are included for your comfort. Each pod has its own individual decking area.

Outdoor Adventures: Llanberis

All activities are led by National Governing Body qualified instructors. Off-site activities we offer are: Gorge walking, Sit on kayaking, Climbing and abseiling, Forest treks, Mountain biking, Orienteering and Raft building. On site there is: Bush Craft, and Archery. Not far from the centre is Llyn Padarn, ideal for self-led activities. All activities are the same cost so are interchangeable with other activities from our list. There are also numerous historical and places of interest close by for leaders/families to run self-led activities in the evenings.
